The food service worker, who is going by “Sandra” to share her story, picked up a $10 Mega Bucks scratch-off in Crownsville and started scratching.
She hit $25 on the first number, then $1,000 on the next. Then another. And another.
By the time she was done, her ticket was a financial masterpiece:
- Four $10,000 wins;
- Nine $1,000 wins;
- A mix of $25, $100, and $200 wins.
Total haul? $50,000 from 25 separate prizes on a single ticket.
“I was so excited. My heart started to drop. The first thing I did was call my family,” Sandra said, still in disbelief.
Sandra bought her golden ticket at the Herald Harbor Inn & Mini Mart on Herald Harbor Road.
She hasn’t decided how to spend her winnings yet, but says her family will likely benefit from the wildly unexpected payday.
The Mega Bucks game, which launched on Nov. 27, still has six $100,000 top prizes floating around, along with plenty of other prizes ranging from $10 to $10,000.
But if you’re hoping for another 25-win miracle, good luck—Sandra may have used up all of that ticket’s luck herself.
